The IX International Symposium On Thysanoptera and Tospoviruses will be held at Sea World Resort, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia from Monday August 31 to Friday September 4 2009.

We invite you to attend this Symposium and participate in a stimulating program enhanced by a magnificent venue.
This, the ninth Symposium, will again provide an unequalled opportunity for those interested in thrips, tospoviruses and their interactions to meet and foster further discussion and research in this highly relevant and exciting area of biological science.
The format for the meeting will be similar to previous meetings of the group.

At this stage, Monday August 31 has been set aside for workshops with a welcome reception in the early evening.

The Symposium venue, SeaWorld Resort, is located in Gold Coast city, an international tourism centre approximately 90 kms south of Brisbane, the capital city of Queensland.

The Gold Coast is renowned for its equitable climate, popular beaches, expansive waterways, magnificent hinterland scenery, active nightlife and a wide variety of tourist attractions.

One of the most popular attractions is the Sea World Theme park located next to the resort with a wide range of attractions and activities.

Sea World Resort has five restaurants and is designed for informal dining and social gatherings.
